apestaartje321: the boxing guy comes across as a small minded dick, what right does he have to dismiss rogan as a boxing fan that being said, boxing mma.
SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 do you know some of the most commonly used styles in mixed martial arts things like boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, jiu jitsu, judo, sambo, and wrestling are some of the most broadly common used styles in today's mixed martial arts. there are more, but that is simply a short list. do you know why things like wing chun, aikido, or hapkido aren't used because they aren't effective. their techniques and principles don't offer much to the arsenal of a mixed martial artist.SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 and here's one thing you should know before you try trolling further. the ufc when it first began was completely nhb. where were these "unlimited" martial artists to come in and win it all why were they all dominated by jiu jitsu why didn't they come in and use that advantage you claim for them to have on the ground mma is real fighting. it's striking, grappling, and ground fighting. techniques used that you claim are limited by rules are all a matter of approach.
SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 this isn't a chuck norris movie that we're talking about here, so you should come out of the fantasy world and get with the program. the things you see in those movies may work on your average joe, but not against trained professional fighters. i don't care how many steven seagal or jean claude van damme movies you've watched, those things are ineffective and impractical.SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 there's no "limiting a martial artist's potential" in mixed martial arts. the only limitation are those strikes that could cause serious injury and death. i don't care what anybody says, there's no use in learning lethal martial art techniques. if you use them, you get charged with homocide. self defense or not, you're most likely getting put in prison for homocide. incapacitation is more the speed of necessity, not lethality. lethality is for posers who need to feel tough.
SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 what about it doesn't make it real fighting a real martial artist knows his advantages with the ground what could they possibly do to overtake jiu jitsu or judo honestly dude, these gladitorial viewpoints that you're putting towards this are about as idiotic as they come. if you were to allow small joint locks, eye gouging, groin shots, neck throat strikes, and things like that, you substantially increase the risk of death and injury. do you not get itJacksonShredder18: snarebuff wanna know why it's crap same reason i've been trying to explain every dipshit mma ufc bro, it's not real fighting. they call it ultimate fighting championship. there's nothing ultimate, and there's no real fighting. i never forgot ground rules because a real martial artist knows his advantages with the ground, because in ufc, that would be one of his few things he could perform at close as it gets to his full potential on the ground you ufc faggots try to be @!#ing tools
SnareBuff: nickdekthai why isn't it what's wrong with the heavyweight division there may not be the same sort of excitement as some of the other divisions, but you can't let yourself get to a spot where you're spoiled or jaded. you can't expect to see the same sort of high intensity as you see in lightweight or welterweight. there's high intensity in heavyweight, but not the same as the others. you just have to appreciate the differences and possibilities.SnareBuff: jacksonshredder18 you're forgetting ground arts, and it would take more than just "going through kickboxing". its rules are a load of crap how so what's crap about not letting you elbow someone in the windpipe what's crap about not being able to hit someone in the back of the neck and paralyze them where's the problem with not being able to strike the groin what's so limiting about any of this these rules that you disagree with so much are ones put forth by the athletic commission.
SnareBuff: nickdekthai and there are other styles out there that will trump boxing, and that's another part of the frustration that comes in from the boxing frontier. things like judo, jiu jitsu, wrestling, muay thai, all have leverage over boxers. a boxer can't survive on the ground, and a boxer doesn't know how to kick, elbow, or fight in the clinch, thus they get beaten by these styles. if you were to take melchor menor and have him fight pacquiao or mayweather, it wouldn't make it past round 2.SnareBuff: nickdekthai and thus things like the boxing vs mma debate comes into play. alot of disrespect and hatred gets fired at mma, and it's mostly from boxers or boxing fans who can't accept that they're being overtaken. it's like driving a car for 5 years and it being cool, and then all of the sudden another car comes out and it's 20k cheaper. all of that time and effort wasted in terms of the big picture. as far as fighting goes, mma will beat boxing at a minimum of 8 10 times.
nickdekthai: snarebuff agreed ufc is fun but not really the heavy weight class.SnareBuff: nickdekthai it really wasn't until the ufc started and the gracies showed what was possible with jiu jitsu. people didn't know anything about muay thai unless it was in a movie. mixed martial arts got alot more exposure and shown to be so practical and efficient, and since has acquired alot of practicioners, fans, and supporters. it's not so much that people are saying boxing isn't a real fighting style, but in terms of practical use, boxing is on the lower end of the totem pole.
SnareBuff: nickdekthai because that was a time when people had the old fashioned viewpoint of "real men fight with their fists" and things like that. martial arts were relatively unheard of, and people were often made fun of for participating in martial arts. boxing was the "sport for men" back in that day in terms of fighting. nobody had respect for those who trained in kung fu or wing chun, or jeet kune do. things like judo and jiu jitsu were not really recognized either.JacksonShredder18: blackshinobishozoku yeah, a losing mma "fighter" to go home, but as far as raw street fighting or other martial arts, it's very limiting. a capoeira, krav maga, muy thai, and tae kwondo just to name a few fighter would basically just have to go through kick boxing and nothing else in the martial art mastery to compete. face it, it's rules are load of crap and doesn't let a true martial artist perform to win in a fight.
nickdekthai: joe rogan is right about some boxing moves arent going to work in a real street fight but this is what i think before while ufc wasnt popular and boxing was no one was ever bad mouth boxing as being a unreal tactic fighting style but now ufc is big soa people are starting to says that boxing is not a real fighting style.nickdekthai: boxing is still alive because of manny and mayweather but what will happen to boxing after manny vs. mayweather already happened is it going to be dead because this is the only fight that the media are talking about. and u cant compare boxing and ufc because it is a different sports.
HRG86: ufc would run over boxing...boxings is dead tell that clown to shut upSnareBuff: stacks1212 and let me add one more thing to the sean sherk part. bj went for a takedown. it wasn't a committed takedown attempt, but a shot nonetheless.
SnareBuff: stacks1212 sean sherk, joe stevenson, and jens pulver. are these old as hell, or rarestacks1212: markymark2069 yeah u right matter of fact he did take him down when he was on the cage.can u name another cuz one takedown doesnt mean bj does takedowns cuz that shit was rare
markymark2069: stacks1212 no, it wasn't years ago dumbass. once again you prove how stupid and uneducated you are about mma. he took kenny f. down in their fight then submitted him you know, made him tap with a rear naked choke. keep posting, you just make yourself look dumber and dumber, you know about as much as james toney when it comes to mma ha. get out of the basement and go do somethin kidstacks1212: markymark2069 his old shit dont matter how he fights now is what matters and when was the last time he went for a takedown years ago but like i said all u dumbass ufc fans who think these guys are invincible we will see when james toney puts randy in a nice nap
stacks1212: snarebuff tough talk yeah i guessSnareBuff: stacks1212 i've been training for 4 years been training. which means that i'm still training. this is no grammar grammar, not grammer contest, but whenever you're acting like a jackass, things like this are pointed out to prove how full of shit you are. try coming back after you've gotten some real combat training under your belt. keep your comparisons and tough guy talk between you and your "homies" while you're taking turns saying "yeah son i'd beat dat ass son you can't @!# with me "

About Katsuoh Yamamoto: I happened up on this footage of Katsuoh, it brought back many found memories. In Gadsden Master Yuki Koda was my first Sensei the 2nd was Kawano Masukatsu -(sp). Master Yamamoto awarded me my Ist Dan in 1982, Black Belt #164. Shortly before he came to my house and sang us a song, over many beverages, about Sumiko. I have always treasured those memories.
