Fancewhite: great sample of hsing yi
zazen7: this guy has real power.one ov those punches in throat would kill a man.StayHigh86: h2zman to be honest man, i can see complexity even if it is in simplicity in some cases in all of the neijia styles, i don't personally believe it myself but it's an interesting saying. you get out what you put in. be healthy
H2Zman: stayhigh86 that's interesting. i would have guessed bagua would be highest because of its complexity, footwork, etc.tranglomango: it's so lame to see ppl amazed with mma fighters on the ufc and k1...just imagine someone expert on this arts in such competition, that would be a real martial arts contest lei tai's would've been great u really could learn many things from lei tai fights
Shriner66: great styleultramouley: technonaut31337.my appolgies i botched my terms. i should have said about maximising impulse per unit time maximising force . but strong alignments is crucial for this none the less.
ultramouley: technonaut31337. all true but the ability to maximise impulse is a massively important factor in striking. if your strike have low impulse due to poor alignment etc you will push an opponent and deal minimal direct damage, if your strikes have high impulse then you can smash their internal organs, bones etc... it's one of the many aspects where good internal martial arts have got it right.gkj35: disco dancing
StayHigh86: tobagator i've heard a few neijia practitioners say that in terms of the length of time learning to apply it, xing yi quan is kindergarten, ba gua zhang is high school and taiji quan is university level requiring the most time before you could apply it in real life . this guy has some nice fa jing and i like how his body moves as a solid unit. neijia styles are greatTobagator: statusthesleepers well if you can devote a significant amount of time to it yes. you could be a capablet fighter with wing chun in about a year. with xing yi it would take much longer however when you become competent with it you are a very capable fighter.
charlesrulez08: wowcuz5119: very impressive. notice that his head did not bob up and down fighting gravity. when one thing moved, everything moved. when one thing stopped every thing stopped. body seemed connected. well done.
bodyhealthtaiji: jernchin87 the effectiveness is style plus teacher plus practice plus knowledge of your opponents style and his of yoursdeek77: technonaut31337 indeed, well said. all out force is not always necessary in a fight, if you are aware of your target. nor is it always beneficial. for example, you only need about 3 lbs of force to hyperextend the elbow, so anyone can do it. but the opponent is not going to just let you grab his arm and go for the break. you need to set up for it, and when the opportunity arises, act fast literally, with a palm smash. in that case, speed is very necessary. thanks for your insight.
technonaut31337: deek77 i think, from a raw physics point of view, what you usually want in a strike is kinetic energy, applied with correct timing. kinetic energy is 1 2 mass times velocity squared . speed is the most important aspect in "power." this depends on your goal. if you are breaking boards this is true. in combat, your goal is not always a "breaking" type strike, of course.Buuub08: mstewartubm, gloves soften a blow. 1 the area of impact is increased while the force the fighter strikes with is the same 2 gloves, being soft, absorb some of the energy of the strike, as any medium will. the force of the strike is dissipated over the entire surface area of the glove rather than being concentrated on the tiny area of the knuckles. simple, actually.
mstewartubm: heavensxnight remember the taping too. you can slam a full bodyweight shot for the ribcage without having to worry about their elbows leaving you with a broken metacarpal.heavensxnight: mstewartubm are you seriously arguing that gloved fists do not soften a blow
mstewartubm: heavensxnight gloves make boxing more dangerous, not less. boxers' hands break more easily than their bodies.Bangled: wonderful, keep up the good work.
profcesarsilva: que forca tueiheavensxnight: aheyne ...what the blue hell are you talking about where did i say that gloves are for a person's face anywhere in my original comment
Aheyne: heavensxnight the gloves are for their hands, not for the opponent's face. you might want to check your sources.Hotora86: looks very nice. i like the smoothness and speed of the punches. i come from a karate bckgrnd but i'd like to learn some of this too.
